Jacob Henry (2022)

My name is Jacob Henry and I graduated with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona and I am from New Mexico. I am currently pursuing a career in Research and Development and with an eventual goal of continuing my education in graduate school in various fields. Overall my life’s passion is Nation Building.

My internship really helped me grasped an understanding of how complex and intricate federal policy is, and how it works. Reading, hearing, and learning about how federal policy and law requires a lot more nuisance and understanding, helped me decide the path I should take in my education in order to change people’s lives for the better. I also loved that I had a chance to actually put my degree into action and see how my education really works in actual field work and in practical application. Using what I learned about what I thought was simple concentration profiles and seeing how complex environmental calculations can get. As well as using the coding experience that I was taught, to create numerous amounts of spreadsheets and graphs. Overall, it was a fun and educational experience that helped me realize more about what direction I want to take regarding my career and future.
