Justice Wright
I was introduced to Environmental Studies my Sophomore year in High School, Summer 2016, when I completed a college course at University of Michigan on Field Biology and since then wanted to protect Earth and share with others how to protect her as well. Since that summer, I have participated in programs and lectures that continue to teach me, expand my awareness on the environmental justice issues in our communities and around the world, and how to make effective change. Overtime I have developed a particular interest in recycling, sustainable innovations, and waste management. Currently, I am seeking a degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Environmental Studies where I am studying other issues and processes in the world that affect the Earth's structure and its inhabitants. I aim to change my community, starting at home as I inform and encourage my family and friends of various ways to be sustainable in hopes that they inform and encourage others creating the Butterfly Effect. Robert Swan says, "The greatest threat to any planet is the belief that someone else will save it." Mother Earth can't do it alone so lift a green thumb today. You'll be grateful for it later.
