3 Bulls Conclusion
The objective of this section is to help the participant to clearly understand and reaccess the Three Bull concept.
Bull 3 is rewarded by their contribution to Bulls 1 and 2.
If this role is played properly, this bull will be put in a position to support many projects, receive financial benefits, and/or enjoy long tenure at the organization or company. Bull 3 should not attempt to overshadow Bull 2, because it will disrupt the harmony of the process, and make Bull 3 responsible for, and vulnerable to, things that are beyond their scope and control.
Let’s go back one last time to our job example. Bull 3, if an interviewee or new hire, is in a position to negotiate the parameters and other details of their impending employment. This does not mean they will get everything they are after, but indeed they have a better chance in the beginning. If by chance, Bull 3 has the opportunity to develop a strategy or work plan to accomplish what they are being asked or hired to do. They are also in a position to include some things that they have an interest in, that help to support the project or job.
Think back for a minute to the Anchors, Activities, and Allies training. After developing your goals and objectives, you moved on to the activities. The activities that you listed were supposed to be based upon things that you enjoyed doing. However, these activities also supported the ultimate goal. This is what you are after as Bull 3. If you clearly understand what Company X is sponsoring, and how the department, organization, or manager is tasked to get it done, then you can begin thinking about how you can creatively get what you want, while at the same time supporting Bulls 1 and 2’s efforts. Some brief thoughts on things to consider are training, certifications, memberships, etc.
As the third bull in the ring, all the responsibility rests with Bulls 1 and 2, and the execution rests with you.
